Corepunk might have gone quiet in recent months, but the game is still evolving. Over the weekend, Artificial Core released a big update. This update adds the new Dungeon Keycard system. This feature lets players control dungeon difficulty, loot scaling, and custom affixes.
Choose Your Challenge
The Dungeon Keycard is a special item players can use to boost the difficulty of PvE dungeons. Monsters and bosses gain 33% more health and damage for each keycard level. Loot rewards increase by 20% for each level and 30% for each affix. This leads to big bonuses at higher tiers.
- Tiered keys unlock higher difficulties and affixes.
- Loot bonuses can exceed 300% at the top levels.
- Completing dungeons with a keycard grants upgraded cards for future runs.
The system has main affixes like increased monster damage or health. It also includes extra affixes such as new debuffs, explosive deaths, and meteor strikes. With up to 12 levels of difficulty, this offers dungeon adventurers an exciting aspect of replayability.
Prison Island Retuned
The patch also changes Prison Island. It adjusts mob health and rewards to fit Tier 2 gear. New monster behaviors and visual cues are added as well. NPC merchants show up only at higher difficulty levels. New tooltip features now display keycard details when you hover over dungeon info.
Class Balance and Combat Adjustments
Several classes underwent adjustments, particularly the Ranger, whose excessive crowd control and damage capabilities were diminished. Additional modifications include:
- Destroyer and Infiltrator gained damage scaling and cooldown resets.
- Shaman and Legionary received utility and aggro improvements.
- Threat and taunt mechanics were overhauled to improve group PvE clarity.
New Features and QoL Updates
In addition to dungeons, the update introduces Open World Boss Arenas in every zone. Bosses will now appear in these areas in anticipation of upcoming PvPvE content. Other features include:
- Auction house buy/sell notifications
- Upgraded tutorial hints
- Custom key bindings and cosmetic control
- Loot and item synthesis improvements
- Numerous performance and bug fixes
